Testnet
Network constants, test funds and tooling for building against Orbit before mainnet.
Orbit runs on Stellar Testnet. Testnet accounts cost nothing to fund, ledgers close about every 5 seconds, and the network is reset from time to time.
Network constants
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Orbit contract ID | CAZBZBUWBSQYK2RZ6WHMXVDLIQHSU5WD7ANZYL6HLNSCRUOTNYCDYQNG |
| Network passphrase | Test SDF Network ; September 2015 |
| Soroban RPC | https://soroban-testnet.stellar.org |
| Horizon | https://horizon-testnet.stellar.org |
| Settlement asset | USDC via its Stellar Asset Contract (7 decimals) |
Get test funds
stellar keys generate <name> --network testnet --fund creates an account and funds it through Friendbot. In Freighter, switch to Testnet and use the built-in Fund with Friendbot button.
The quickest option is the native-asset SAC, which needs no trustline:
stellar contract id asset --asset native --network testnetTo bill in real testnet USDC, add a USDC trustline to the subscriber account and get tokens from a testnet USDC faucet, then pass the USDC SAC address as token.
Deploy your own copy
Useful when you change the contract.
git clone https://github.com/Orbit-xyz/Orbit && cd Orbit/scripts
./deploy.sh # builds the WASM, deploys it, writes .contract_id
./execute_flow.sh # approve -> create_vault -> pull_funds -> batch_disburseMainnet
Orbit is not deployed to mainnet. Moving there means redeploying the audited WASM and switching three values: contract ID, network passphrase and RPC URL. Track progress on the roadmap.
